the bookmark below is mine, but please don't let the ribbon fool you. The angel above was the hardanger show-stopper!
and for the life of me I can't remember why I stitched someone else's name on this white on white sampler (wink wink)...
This exquisite piece was created by my stitching sponsor and road trip buddy, Miss Vera. Isn't the frame perfectly perfect? As for the needlework, well, "forget about it - you can't touch this"! (I'm sure it's against 7 kinds of laws to put a M.C. Hammer lyric in the same sentence as a Tony Soprano quote, but you get the idea)
Sadly, none of the photos I took of the beaded pieces turned out. Seems I don't know how to focus on beads (among other things, like laundry, housework, etc.)
Hope you enjoyed this mini-tour of our show. I encourage everyone within commuting distance of an EGA chapter to go join in the fun! (click on the link to find a chapter near you). I personally would never have had the nerve to try so many different kinds of needlework if it hadn't been for the guild and my crazy stitching compatriots. I joined exactly ten years ago this month and the friendships I've made along the way have enriched my life immeasurably.
ALL of them are absolutely beautiful! What a very talented group of ladies!
ReplyDeleteWOW! The talent leaves me speechless. Thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great show of work. Love your little bookmark.
The show was great...I'm glad I wasn't a judge. I thought you did the Civil War piece?? Anyway, looks like you ladies have been hard at work :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 10th anniversary! I am very glad you found us ten years ago!
